What is actually different about marketing across New Brunswick
Every other province has a centre of gravity. New Brunswick has three, and Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton are close enough in size that none of them is the obvious answer. That has a practical effect most owners underestimate: a campaign aimed at one of them is aimed at roughly a third of the province, and a campaign aimed at all three is genuinely a provincial campaign rather than a city one with spillover. Deciding which of those you are running is the first real decision here.
The second is language. New Brunswick is officially bilingual, and in the north and east a large share of your customers search in French. The words they type are not translations of the English ones, so a campaign that was written in English and run through a translator buys phrases nobody uses. If part of your market is francophone, the French keyword research has to be done from scratch rather than converted.
Beyond that, this is a small and well-connected business community where reputation travels quickly and where competition for search is thin. In professional services, manufacturing and food processing, energy and refining, information technology and forestry, publishing a genuinely useful explanation of how you work is often enough to take the top of the results, which is not something I can say about a larger province.
Three ways to grow a New Brunswick business, run by one accountable person
Same three services everywhere I work. What changes in New Brunswick is that you have to decide which centres and which language you are actually competing in.
Google Ads Management
In New Brunswick that means being deliberate about which of the three centres you are buying, and running French and English as separate work rather than as a translation. Then account structure, then cutting spend on searches that were never going to convert.
$1,500/month + ad spend
SEO Consulting
Usually the better first investment here, because a province-wide organic position is achievable at this size and because New Brunswick buyers research carefully before they call. Technical fixes first, then the pages that answer the real questions.
$1,200/month
AIO Consulting
Being the New Brunswick business ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews name when someone asks for a recommendation. In a province this size the named shortlist is very short, which makes this the best value of the three.

Where in New Brunswick I work
Across the province
I take on clients throughout Moncton, Saint John, Fredericton, the Acadian Peninsula, the Miramichi region and the upper Saint John River valley. Everything is run remotely over video and email, so where in the province you are makes no difference to the work or the price. There is no separate page for Moncton, Saint John or Fredericton because none of them is big enough to be a separate market from the others in the way Toronto and Hamilton are.

And in the surrounding communities
I work with businesses in Dieppe, Riverview, Bathurst, Edmundston, Campbellton, Sackville and Oromocto on the same terms.

Questions New Brunswick businesses ask
Do you have an office in New Brunswick?
No. I am based in Toronto and work from home, so there is no New Brunswick office and I am not going to imply there is. Everything is run remotely over video and email, which is how I run every account.
Do we need French campaigns?
If any real share of your customers is francophone, yes, and translating the English ones is not the same thing. French search terms are different words, not converted words, so the research has to be redone. I will be straight about my own limits here: I build the French campaigns, and for customer-facing copy aimed at a francophone audience I have it reviewed by a native speaker before it runs.
Why is there no page for Moncton or Saint John?
Because I do not think they are separate search markets in any way that would change my advice, and I would rather say that than publish three near-identical pages to catch three sets of searches. If that changes, or if you tell me otherwise about your own market, I will build them.
Is the market too small for this to pay off?
For paid search it sometimes is, and I will tell you when the volume does not justify the channel. For SEO and AI visibility the small size works in your favour, because a province-wide position is achievable here in a way it never is in Ontario.
What does this cost?
Google Ads management is $1,500 a month plus your ad spend. SEO consulting is $1,200 a month. AIO consulting is $1,800 one time. No setup fees and no long contract.
