Ask your documents
Ask anything about the files in this workspace. Answers come with page cites. Say "write this up as a Word report" when you want a file.
Enter sends, Shift+Enter for a new line. Each answer costs a few cents; reports cost more.

Add the files
Any documents, any mix: a case file, a contract folder, a stack of invoices, a batch of resumes. Drop them below and wait until every row shows a type and page count.
2
Tell it what you want
Tasks tab. Plain English. Pick Word or Excel if you want a file. One to three minutes per request.

Open the report
Artifacts tab. Click any page chip to see the source. Use the yellow Feedback button to tell Elvin what worked and what did not.

Ingest is deterministic: hash, OCR for scans and photos, classify, extract fields with page cites. Email attachments and zip contents are ingested and linked to their parent. Nothing is moved or changed.

General task
The engine works only from the documents in this workspace. It never produces a number itself: totals, day counts and deadlines are computed in code and every figure is recomputed before the report is shown. It flags; it does not decide.
One-click tasks
Assemble proposes a matter tree from everything uploaded (you confirm it in Artifacts). Readiness and deadline sweep are deterministic rule checks on confirmed matters and cost no credits.

Cost is computed per model call from token counts at current pricing. When the balance reaches zero, tasks stop with a clear message until the administrator tops up.

How to use this
- Add documents. Documents tab: drag files in, or choose them. PDFs, Word files, scans, phone photos, spreadsheets, emails (.eml or .msg, attachments come along) and zip folders all work. Closed matters only during the trial.
- Wait for the green list. Each file is read, OCR'd if it is a scan, sorted by type and its key facts are pulled out. Click any page number to see the exact page a fact came from.
- Ask a question. Chat tab: ask anything about the files and get a short answer with page cites in seconds. Say "write this up as a Word report" when you want a file. "Ask about this file" on the Documents tab starts a chat scoped to one document.
- Get files back. Ask for folders ("organize these into folders by matter, date-named, as a zip"), a table of contents added to a PDF ("add a table of contents to the front of this PDF with a tab divider for each subject and number every page"), a book of documents from many files, pages pulled out, exhibit stamps, a redacted copy, or files merged into one PDF or one editable Word document. They appear as download buttons under the answer and in Artifacts. Originals are never changed.
- Ask for a full report. Tasks tab: type it in plain English, pick PDF, Word or Excel if you want a file, press Run. It takes one to three minutes.
- Check the report. Artifacts tab. Every value has a small page chip; click it to see the source page. "calc" means the number was computed by code and recomputed before you saw it. Anything the engine could not confirm is marked and the report says so.
- Delete when done. Account tab, Delete my files. Everything from your workspace is gone at once.
Things you can ask
- Sort these files into matters and put each matter's documents in date order.
- For every N4 on file: tenant, unit, termination date and amount claimed, with page cites. Flag any without a certificate of service.
- Build a chronology of everything that happened in this matter, one line per event, each with its source page.
- Reconstruct the rent ledger from the statements and the bank spreadsheet and tell me the arrears as of August 14, 2026.
- What is missing before an L1 can be filed on this matter?
- List every document that mentions the rental unit's address.
- Add a table of contents with a tab for each part and number every page consecutively.
- Give me a one-page fact sheet for the hearing, in Word.
- Make a book of documents for the hearing: one PDF with an index, a tab for each document and page numbers.
- Organize everything into folders by matter and document type, date-named, and give me a zip.
- Make a redacted copy of the lease with the tenant's phone number and email blacked out.
It never decides anything legal and never invents a number. It finds, organizes, computes and cites; you make the calls. If it cannot do something with the files on hand it says what is missing. Tell Elvin what you asked and what you expected; that is how the tool gets tuned to your work.
